Job summary

Propel Schools is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to provide instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional support to scholars. You will work under certified staff to reinforce instruction and collect data, ensuring scholars participate fully in the educational program.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support across settings, assisting with IEPs and behavior plans, and communicating scholar progress to teachers. A collaborative, proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or at least 48 college credits.
• Education-related field of study or relevant work experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a non-traditional, urban education environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support in small groups or 1:1 under a certified teacher.
• Deliver 1:1 support for academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and/or functional needs.
• Support scholars in various school settings and during transitions.
• Assist in implementing IEPs, 504 plans, and behavior support plans.
• Document and communicate scholar information to teachers or supervisors.
• Assist with preparing instructional materials and organizing learning environments.
• Perform non-instructional duties as directed.
• Provide age-appropriate personal tasks support for scholars.
• Offer physical/mobility support as trained and needed.
• Participate in meetings and professional development.
• Support scholar independence and positive behaviors.
