Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Deaconess Palliative Care, part of LHC Group, is seeking a Palliative Care Nurse to deliver direct patient and family care through palliative consultations for seriously ill patients not yet eligible for hospice. This role focuses on compassionate, interdisciplinary care to improve quality of life.

Requirements include RN or APRN licensure in the state, BCLS, CPR certification, and a minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• BCLS licensure required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient and family care through palliative care consultations.
• Ensure specialty services for patients with serious illness with prognosis of one year or less.
• Demonstrate ethical use of evidence-based palliative practices.
