Progressive Directions, Inc. is seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) to work one-on-one with an individual, providing daily life support with personalized care.

The role emphasizes helping the person live life on their terms and building independence through daily routines and mobility support. This position includes community activities and documentation duties, aiming to create meaningful days tailored to the individual's preferences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred, not required).
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• TB test within the last 12 months (we’ll send you for one if needed).
• Strong communication and ability to follow directions.
• Willingness to complete required training.

Responsibilities

• Support one individual in daily life; this is personalized care, not a group setting.
• Help build independence, confidence, and life skills.
• Assist with personal care, daily routines, and mobility when needed.
• Support medication routines (per policy).
• Get out into the community, like shopping, events, activities, real-life stuff.
• Help plan a meaningful day based on what THEY want, not a cookie-cutter schedule.
• Keep documentation accurate (notes, logs, etc.).
• Be their advocate, their support system, and honestly… part of their circle.
