Job summary

Mercy Health in Kings Mills Hospital seeks an Occupational Therapist to enhance patients’ ability to perform daily tasks. The role involves assessments, treatment planning, and delivery across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings.

You will review referrals, document progress, develop functional programs, and educate families. Licensure in the state is required; BLS is preferred or required within specified timelines. Two years of experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice.
• BLS certification preferred; required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH
• 2 years of experience in equivalent setting (preferred)
• Ability to work with pediatric to geriatric patients across settings

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient history to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct and document evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment plans per department protocols.
• Administer prescribed occupational therapy treatments and create customized equipment.
• Develop programs focusing on functional skills, daily activities, and motor skills.
• Monitor progress and adjust goals; participate in patient care conferences.
• Educate patients and families on at-home treatment procedures.
