Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Kings Mills Hospital seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients across outpatient, inpatient and pediatric settings, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and document progress. You’ll collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize functional outcomes.

The role requires Ohio licensure, BLS (within 30 days for BSMH or at hire for RSFH) and a preference for 2 years of experience in a similar setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates appropriate application of age-specific standards and guidelines in care across pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families and care teams.
• Demonstrates critical thinking to assess condition, progress and adjust plans.
• General computer skills including data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and patient history to determine therapy needs.
• Perform evaluations and document progress according to protocols.
• Administer OT treatments and customize equipment as needed.
• Develop programs for functional skills, daily activities and motor skills.
• Monitor progress and adjust goals; participate in care conferences.
• Educate patients and families on home treatment procedures.
