Job summary

Aston Group in Florida is seeking a compassionate and licensed Certified Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility rehabilitation team. The OT evaluates residents, develops individualized treatment plans, and delivers therapy to promote independence, safety, and quality of life.

The role requires a Florida OT license, a Master’s or Doctorate in OT, and experience in geriatric rehab or Medicare guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in OT from an accredited program.
• Current OT license in Florida.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of geriatric rehabilitation and Medicare regulations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide therapy focusing on ADLs, functional mobility, strength, coordination, cognition and safety.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Complete accurate documentation in accordance with Medicare and facility guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care and discharge planning.
• Supervise COTAs as applicable.
• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
