Job summary

Ortho Sport and Spine Physicians is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to welcome patients, set appointments, and check patients in and out while maximizing satisfaction.

You will maintain patient accounts, schedule follow-ups, coordinate with the pre-cert team, confirm insurance details, and support referrals. Strong communication and basic medical terminology are essential; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 1 year medical front desk experience.
• Customer service background.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
• Check in/out patients and optimize satisfaction and treatment room utilization.
• Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating demographic and financial information.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Coordinate with pre-cert team regarding orders for daily patients.
• Track cancellations and no-shows.
• Perform daily task audits and assist wherever needed.
• Verify demographics and insurance information in EMR.
• Follow up on outpatient and surgical referrals.
• Provide printouts of appointments.
• Other duties as assigned.
