Oswego Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver therapeutic services to patients in our community. The role involves evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and assisting patients in regaining daily living and work skills, with emphasis on safety and home adaptations.

Applicants must have an accredited OT degree, a current OT license, and at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license in good standing with the State licensing board.
• Minimum of two years OT experience.
• Cognitive skills as related to the position.

Responsabilités

• Reviews physician's referral (prescription) and patient’s condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
• Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.
• Helps patient to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.
• Instructs patients with permanent disabilities in the use of adaptive equipment (e.g. wheelchairs, orthotics).
• Assesses patients’ home for hazards, recommends restorative or safety adaptations.
• Evaluates patients’ progress and prepares reports that detail progress.
