Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking an Occupational Therapist to organize and conduct OT programs within the facility, guiding residents to improve daily living skills and functional performance.

The role involves evaluating residents, designing treatment plans, and collaborating with the rehab team to restore independence. Licensure in the state and ACOTE accreditation are required, with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or per diem engagement and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OT curriculum accredited by ACOTE and certified.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state.
• Registered and/or eligible for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents and develops treatment goals, implements OT plan, and documents services.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices; trains residents in use of splints and orthotics.
• Selects activities matching resident capacity and interests.
• Consults with rehab team to choose appropriate activity program.
• Instructs residents in skills and evaluates progress and rehabilitative potential.
• Adapts program to resident needs.
• Attends resident care and staffing conferences.
• Conducts training programs for medical, nursing and other staff in OT techniques.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment.
• Cleans, maintains, reports repair needs of equipment.
• Supervises supportive personnel per standards.
• Ensures residents and families receive high-quality compassionate service.
