Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess and plan rehabilitative programs that restore daily function, mobility, and cognitive skills. You will collaborate with physicians to create plans of care and discharge goals while delivering high-quality, compliant care across the continuum.

You will provide patient education, work within a team, and ensure safe, cost-conscious service delivery with attention to infection prevention and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• All certifications are required upon hire (Occupational Therapist, BLS - Instructor).

Responsibilities

• Establish and evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and patients.
• Develop plan of care and discharge goals with patient/family involvement.
• Deliver occupational therapy services and document sessions per departmental guidelines.
• Provide patient/family education and discharge instructions; refer to community resources when appropriate.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and adhere to ethical standards.
