Job summary

Mercy Health in Marcum & Wallace Hospital is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to enhance patients' ability to perform daily tasks across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric and off-site settings.

The role requires an OT license in the state, BLS, and 2 years of experience in a similar setting; you will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and educate patients and families on home programs while collaborating with care teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice.
• BLS certification, preferred on hire; required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH.
• Two years of experience in an equivalent setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient history to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct and document patient evaluations and treatment plans according to department protocols.
• Administer prescribed occupational therapy treatments and create custom equipment for individual needs.
• Develop programs focusing on functional skills, vocational training, daily activities, and motor skills.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment goals and plans as necessary, participating in patient care conferences.
• Educate patients and families on at-home treatment procedures.
