Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a nursing technician to assist patients with daily living activities and provide basic care under RN supervision. The role includes maintaining a clean, safe environment and supporting care plans on a non-acute inpatient unit.

The ideal candidate will have a CNA or nursing assistant certification, strong organizational and teamwork skills, and familiarity with medical terminology. Completion of required trainings within timelines is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• C.N.A. certification or equivalent related work experience required.
• Nursing Assistant Certification preferred.
• MOAB training preferred.
• BLS-AHA certification and First Aid training preferred or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent organizational skills required.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Experience with computers preferred or basic keyboard skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Follow Nursing Care Plans and department policies.
• Observe and assist in care procedures as directed by RN and supervisors.
