Job summary

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant per state laws.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with feeding and providing meals, water, and nourishment.
• Help with personal hygiene: bedpans, baths, showers, backrubs, shampoos, shaving.
• Assist with mobility: ambulating, turning, and repositioning residents.
• Monitor vital signs and weight; document intake and output.
• Respond to call lights and requests; report observations to nursing staff.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality; follow HIPAA and laws.
