Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living is actively seeking a Caregiver (OR) to provide quality nursing care to residents in a setting that respects their rights and dignity. You will follow individualized care plans, assist with activities of daily living, and monitor residents’ well-being while reporting changes to the nursing team.

The role emphasizes safe, compassionate care, documentation, and collaboration with staff and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Criminal Background and fingerprint check required.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Maintain current Food Handlers card.
• Prior Nursing Assistant experience preferred (3 months).

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with ADLs including grooming, bathing, feeding, incontinent care, transferring, ambulation, ROM.
• Maintain skin integrity and reposition immobile residents.
• Protect residents' belongings and report missing items per policy.
• Perform tasks such as vital signs, weight checks, applying creams, specimen collection.
• Keep records of care and adhere to safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in required trainings.
• Attend meetings and trainings and complete assigned tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
