Job summary

Kent Hospital in Rhode Island is seeking a Nursing Assistant to perform patient care and non-professional services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with personal hygiene, monitor intake and output, record vitals, and maintain a safe, clean environment.

The ideal candidate has vocational training and at least six months of related experience and holds an RI Nursing Assistant license.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical training and more than six months of related experience.
• RI State Nursing Assistant license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care and perform routine treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Assist with personal hygiene to promote patient comfort and well-being.
• Check and record intake and output as ordered.
• Take and record vital signs and other measurements as indicated.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment with stocked supplies and functioning equipment.
• Maintain patient medical records in an orderly, legible, and accurate manner.
• Observe patients and report any changes to the RN/Team Leader.
• Maintain knowledge of specialty by attending seminars and in-services.
