Job summary

Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI seeks a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with personal hygiene, comfort, and routine treatments to support patient well-being while ensuring safety and privacy.

Responsibilities include monitoring intake and output, taking and recording vital signs, assisting with routine procedures, preparing the environment, and helping maintain accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical training and more than six months of related experience.
• RI State Nursing Assistant license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care and routine treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Assist with personal hygiene to promote patient comfort and well-being.
• Check and record intake and output as ordered.
• Take and record patient’s vital signs and other measurements as indicated.
• Assist with enemas, dressings, binders, specimens, and basic therapies.
• Assist the RN in caring for seriously ill patients or in complex procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment with stocked supplies and functioning equipment.
• Maintain patient records legibly and document care provided and significant information.
• Observe assigned patients and report changes to RN/Team Leader.
• Support ongoing learning by attending seminars and in-services.
