Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic health tasks while maintaining infection prevention and PPE use.

Qualifications include a CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or enrollment in a state-approved program to obtain certification within four months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification required by the State Board of Nursing, or enrollment in training with intent to obtain certification within four months.
• Annual continuing education minimum of 12 hours.
• When applicable, may be required to be listed on Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, transferring, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and document resident interactions; communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support nutrition and dining, and help with basic health care needs as needed.
