Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Fillmore, California seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under the supervision of licensed nurses, ensuring the highest quality resident care at all times.

You will perform duties per facility policies, make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours thereafter, verify resident identity before care or meals, and help with beds and feeding while maintaining dignity and respect for residents.

Qualifications

• Must hold a licensed CNA.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during certification.
• Sincere desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, families, visitors and the public.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Must be in good health and emotionally stable.
• Able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly and sometimes hostile individuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned per facility policies and procedures.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours thereafter.
• Verify resident identification before administering care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled and within resident's reach.
• Other related duties as directed by supervisors.
