Job summary

Sweetwater Care in California seeks a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under the direction of nursing leadership. You will help ensure high quality resident care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include rounds, ID verification, bedside care, and helping with daily activities while maintaining a compassionate, patient-focused approach in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical CNA experience.
• Desire to serve ill, aged and infirm residents.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must be patient, cheerful and able to handle residents of varying maturity.
• In good general health with emotional stability.
• Able to relate to ill, elderly or upset residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned following facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to administer quality care.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to the admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned and filled for residents.
• Other related duties as directed by supervisor or administrator.
