Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Gulfport is actively seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for day shift (PRN/Per Diem). The role focuses on compassionate patient care, daily rounds, and support across post-ICU recovery patients in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include bathing, oral hygiene, feeding support, and mobility assistance while maintaining clean patient areas. Requires CNA or equivalent experience with BLS within 90 days; 12-hour shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include HS diploma or GED or 3+ years of related work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification required; BLS within 90 days.
• PRN/Per Diem schedule; 12-hour shifts (7:00 am–7:30 pm).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less products and oral hygiene.
• Provide oral feeding assistance and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds and respond to patient needs promptly.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with moving patients and stretchers.
• Maintain clean rooms and sanitize instruments and equipment.
• Keep unit stocked with supplies and perform other duties as assigned.
