Job summary

Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. No prior experience is required, but Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of hire.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; new hires have 30 days to obtain BLS.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients under RN supervision and completes activities of daily living.
• Takes and records vital signs; monitors intake and output.
• Assists with nutrition, safety, and infection control.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under supervision; may serve as a patient safety sitter.
• Assists with orientation of new Nursing Assistant colleagues.
