Qualifications

• Knowledge: Basic medical terminology, basic PC skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience: None.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients as delegated by the registered nurse and completes activities of daily living.
• Vital Signs: may take and record vital signs (temperature, height, weight, oxygen saturation).
• Reports unusual observations to nurse or charge nurse.
• Collects specimens and records intake and output.
• Provides for nutritional needs and assists with meals.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under supervision.
• Assists with patient safety and orientation of new staff.
• Complies with policies and participates in quality improvement activities.
