Qualifications

• Education: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure: BLS required. New hires have 30 days to obtain BLS.
• Skills: Ability to read, write and perform basic math; knowledge of medical terminology; basic PC skills; good interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients as delegated by the registered nurse and completes activities of daily living.
• Take and record vital signs, intake and output, and report observations to the nurse.
• Assist with nutrition, room service setup, and feeding as required.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under supervision and support infection control.
• Assist with orientation for new nursing assistants and participate in quality improvement activities.
