Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County seeks a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff by performing vital sign checks, assist with hygiene, and maintain a clean, safe patient environment. You will also help stock supplies and operate hospital equipment under supervision.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or LVN or enrolled in accredited nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Approved workplace violence responder training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies and operate hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and assist with related duties.
