Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown is seeking a Nurse Technician to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis. The position offers a flexible 12-hour shift schedule (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am) and supports a patient-care oriented environment.

As a Nurse Technician, you will assist with patient care, monitor vital signs, document I&O, and help orient patients and families. We value teamwork, safety, and compassionate care, with opportunities for training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nurse Aide Program or experience in related field or will provide on the job education and training.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or acquire within 3 months of hire.
• One year of acute care or one-year long-term care experience preferred.
• Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Patient Care Team's delivery of personalized, efficient care with respect for patient's spiritual and cultural differences.
• Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in delivery of patient care.
• Orients patient and family to room and call bell.
• Upon admission, obtains initial vital signs, height and weight.
• Records daily I & O, vital signs, and food intake into the electronic medical record.
• Transports patients via appropriate means in a safe, dignified manner. Adheres to patient activity restrictions.
• Establishes positive relationships with patients/families and reports patient/family concerns accurately and concisely to appropriate care team members.
