Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Technician to join the team in a full-time role with 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am variable shifts. The position emphasizes patient care team collaboration, safety, and compassionate service in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, I&O, documentation, patient transport, and family orientation, with opportunities for professional development through Lifepoint Health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Nurse Aide Program completion or related experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• One year of acute care or long-term care experience preferred.
• Certification in relevant field preferred.

• Participates in Patient Care Team's delivery of personalized, efficient care with respect for patient's spiritual and cultural differences.
• Considers safety, effectiveness and cost in delivery of patient care.
• Orients patient and family to room and call bell.
• Upon admission, obtains initial vital signs, height and weight.
• Records daily I & O, vital signs, and food intake into the electronic medical record.
• Transports patients via appropriate means in a safe, dignified manner. Adheres to patient activity restrictions.
• Establishes positive relationships with patients/families and reports concerns to the care team.

More About Our Team

We are known for our great teamwork and compassionate nurses. We get many great comments from patients, families and float staff that are on the unit. The manager strives to provide a nice family balance to provide a great place to work for the employees that work on the unit. We have all core staff, no agency or contracted staff with help occasionally from the hospital float pool. We have a 1:8-10 ratio of nurse to patient. We have staff meeting party days every month and every other month out of work get togethers.

A Nurse Technician who excels in this role:

What We're Looking For

Applicants should possess High School Diploma or GED. Additional requirements include:
