Job summary

Antelope Valley Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Technician to perform essential patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include observing patient needs, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a current California CNA license (preferred), and at least one year of acute care experience, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess and maintain a current California License as a CNA is preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Possess and maintain current certification in American Heart Association BLS.
• Maintain annual competencies including annual skills requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including observation and reporting to the licensed nurse.
• Maintain proper body alignment and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with movement, feeding, hygiene, and peri-care as needed.
• Document accurately in the medical record and restraint logs.
• Assist with telemetry, vital signs, and patient safety checks.
• Support a quiet, safe, and clean environment under supervision.
