Job summary

Encino Hospital Medical Center in California is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant to join the MST department. You will assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

The position requires a current CNA certificate, BLS certification, knowledge of medical terminology, and ideally six months of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement.

Responsibilities

• The CNA assists with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
• Maintains a safe environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge.
