Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I or with the NC Board as Nurse Aide II.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients/residents with activities of daily living.
• Assists patients/residents with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and height and weight measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients/residents according to procedures.
• Maintains patient/resident rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient/resident conditions.
• Orients patients/families to unit and instructs on safety measures.
• Assists with clerical work including phones, data entry, and medical records.
• Maintains stock supply items in inventory.
• Performs duties per Nurse Aide I/II scope per NC Board lists.
• Performs ECG tests and routine venipuncture with appropriate training.
