Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I or II as applicable.
• BLS certification required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living support to patients/residents.
• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming.
• Take and record vital signs, height and weight.
• Assist with feeding and ambulation per procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe patient/resident rooms and environment.
• Observe and report changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Orient patients and families to unit and safety procedures.
• Support clerical tasks such as answering phones and data entry.
• Maintain inventory of supply items and equipment.
• Perform duties per Nurse Aide I/II scope and tasks as per state guidelines.
• Perform technical tasks with proper training, including ECGs and venipuncture.
