Job summary

Always Best Care Chicagoland is actively hiring compassionate caregivers to help seniors remain safe and independent at home. This full-time/part-time role offers paid training, weekly pay, direct deposit, flexible hours, and a potential referral bonus to teammates.

You will travel between clients with mileage support and access health insurance options. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of home care experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Previous home care experience of 1+ years.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner.
• Outstanding communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Medication Reminders
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals.
• Report any unusual incidents to our Care Coordinator
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Follow the Care plan.
