Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a night-shift role in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time position offers 12-hour overnight shifts (6:30 PM–6:30 AM) on an established block schedule, with opportunities for recent graduates to apply.

The role focuses on hands-on resident care within a facility-based healthcare team. Ideal candidates hold an active AZ RN license, with preferred experience in geriatric or long-term care settings.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona.
• Recent RN graduates welcomed; less than one year SNF/LTC experience considered.
• Experience in geriatric nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration, pharmacology, assessments and care planning.
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and guide support staff lightly.
• Comfort with overnight 12-hour shifts and block schedule.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians within the RN scope.
• Assess residents and monitor changes in medical, physical, functional, and psychological condition.
• Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and the care team.
• Perform initial nursing assessments for new admissions.
• Assist with MDS assessments, quarterly reviews, and individual care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, diagnoses and progress.
• Develop care plans using a team-nursing approach and supervise support staff.
• Assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, mobility).
• Monitor medication effectiveness and adverse reactions.
• Participate in staff development and in-service training.
• Follow regulations governing nursing practice and medication administration.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and additional nursing duties.
