Lynx EMS in Columbus, Ohio is seeking two dependable Wheelchair Van Drivers to join our NEMT team. You will transport passengers who require mobility assistance to medical appointments and facilities, ensuring safety, reliability, and compassionate service.

The role requires professionalism, punctuality, and adherence to routes, schedules, and patient privacy. Full-time daytime shifts are available, with opportunities to make a meaningful community impact.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Previous driving, delivery, or transportation experience preferred.
• Experience with NEMT or wheelchair-accessible transportation is an advantage.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and securement equipment after appropriate training.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, patient, and professional attitude.
• Ability to meet applicable Ohio transportation requirements and employer screening standards.
• CPR/First Aid certification may be required, depending on employer policies and applicable requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Safely transport passengers to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities.
• Pick up and drop off passengers according to scheduled routes and appointment times.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle safely.
• Operate wheelchair-accessible vans equipped with ramps or lifts.
• Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility devices using approved securement systems.
• Ensure passengers are safely positioned and secured before beginning each trip.
• Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate customer service.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized vehicle.
