Canyon Creek Behavioral Health in Temple, Texas is seeking a Mental Health Technician - PRN to support the treatment team with patient care, supervision, and role modeling for adolescents to geriatrics under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; CNA preferred; degree in social work or related therapeutic discipline highly desirable.
• Minimum 1 year of related psychiatric patient care experience preferred.
• CPR certification and Handle with Care Training required; training during new hire orientation; weekends/nights flexible hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient.
• Utilizes sound judgment during assessment and observe and documents any changes in a patient’s appearance, behavior, or ability to work toward treatment plan goals.
• Communicate changes in patient’s condition to the charge nurse.
