Job summary

Heritage of Woodlands is seeking a compassionate Caregiver in Spring, Texas to provide professional resident care and support daily living activities. The role emphasizes following care plans, maintaining safety, and assisting with meals, mobility, and hygiene.

Experience with memory care is preferred. The caregiver will document incidents, participate in group activities, and help new residents settle in, while upholding high standards of respect and communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Memory Care experience is preferred and beneficial.
• Must complete 12 hours of continuing education – provided through community in-services.
• Must be fluent in English and able to read and interpret care plans, safety rules, and procedures.
• Ability to complete incident reports and basic documentation.
• Work with other staff to support resident care.
• Arrive at work 15 minutes early for walkthroughs.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports resident care plan; assists with activities of daily living.
• Assists with physical care including transfers, bathing, hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Maintains resident rooms and common areas; handles laundry and housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Takes and records vital signs and collects specimens as ordered; reports changes to leadership.
• Facilitates resident activities and welcome process; supports assimilation for new residents.
• Engages residents in conversations and activities based on individual interests.
• Completes incident reports for incidents during shift; responds to emergencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
