Job summary

Heritage of Woodlands in Spring, Texas is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide professional care to residents, support activities of daily living, and uphold high standards of safety. You will work closely with licensed nurses, document care, assist with mobility, hygiene, meals, and help maintain clean living spaces while engaging residents in meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Memory Care experience preferred.
• Must complete 12 hours of continuing education – provided through community in-services.
• Must be fluent in English and able to read and interpret resident care plans, safety rules, procedures, policies and manuals.
• Ability to complete incident reports and basic documentation as needed.
• Must work with other staff toward resident care goals.
• Ability to report to work 15 minutes early for a walk-through with the previous shift.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports resident care plan. Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADL's). Promptly responds to all resident care needs.
• Provides for residents' physical care including transferring in/out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and/or automobiles, bathing, hygiene tasks, toileting, meals, and other tasks.
• Changes bed linens, washes and irons resident's laundry, maintains tidiness of bedrooms, closets, dressers; assists with room, bathroom and common area cleanliness.
• Takes and records vital signs at intervals; measures intake; collects specimens as ordered; monitors changes and reports to leadership as delegated.
• Facilitates/participates in resident group activities and care conferences; supports new resident assimilation.
• Engages residents in conversations and activities related to their interests.
• Completes incident reports for incidents during the shift; responds to emergencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
