Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in medication administration for residents in our Ivy Living communities. The role includes direct personal care, encouraging resident participation in activities, and collaborating with housekeeping and maintenance to uphold care standards.

Ideal candidates have RCFE experience, are at least 18, and can complete required certifications.

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Ongoing health and safety measures may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
