Job summary

Oakmont Management Group’s Ivy Park at Livermore is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents in a caring, compliant manner. The role supports residents’ activities and collaborates with housekeepers and maintenance to uphold the organization’s values.

Qualifications include at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1 year of RCFE medication assistance; LVN status is a plus. State-required training may apply.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Completion of training/certification may be required per state regulation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
