The Residence at Carlisle is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to safely assist residents with medication management, ensuring safety, dignity, and compassionate care in a supportive community. You will collaborate with the nursing and wellness team, document accurately in the EHR, monitor for side effects, and maintain a clean medication area while respecting residents’ mobility and privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medication Administration training program.
• Minimum 1 year of direct caregiving experience in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and community protocols.
• Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and perform vital signs checks.
• Maintain accurate records in the EHR system.
• Assist with medication inventory, ordering, and ensuring compliance with storage, counts, and handling regulations.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, families, and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the Wellness Director, care team, and healthcare providers to support individualized resident care plans.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe medication area and promote a supportive wellness environment.
• Provide attentive, compassionate service that respects residents’ mobility, cognitive, and sensory needs.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and team members while upholding ethics and integrity.
