Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to provide medication administration and daily care to residents in a supportive, team-focused environment. You will work under nursing leadership, coordinating with interdisciplinary teammates to uphold residents’ dignity and independence.

The role emphasizes adhering to scope of practice, HIPAA, and safety procedures while documenting care and supporting residents in activities of daily living.

Qualifications

• Current CMT certification in the state of practice.
• High-school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification and first aid training.
• Prior experience with direct care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers medication to residents under the direction of the nursing staff and within the scope of practice for a CMT; and documents accordingly.
• Observes residents for side effects, interactions and implications of common medicines.
• Provides medical and physical care to the residents to meet their daily needs.
• Assists residents during mealtimes and feeds residents that need full assistance.
• Creates and maintains meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Respects privacy and HIPAA requirements; notifies the Charge Nurse of hazards or incidents.
