Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to provide medication administration and supportive daily care to residents under nursing supervision. This role emphasizes resident dignity, teamwork with the interdisciplinary staff, and adherence to HIPAA and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include documenting vital signs, assisting with meals and daily activities, and supporting care plans under licensed personnel.

Qualifications

• Current CMT certification in the state of practice.
• High-school diploma or GED required.
• If working in Pennsylvania, completion of Personal Care DHS Medication Administration Course.
• CPR certification and first aid training.
• Prior direct care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers medication to residents under nursing staff direction and within scope of practice.
• Documents vital signs and care in the electronic health record.
• Provides medical and physical care to residents daily needs.
• Assists residents with personal care and daily activities.
• Observes residents, reports changes to nursing staff, and participates in care planning.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed personnel.
• Knocks before entering and maintains HIPAA privacy.
