Job summary

Midtown Assisted Living Residence in Hollywood, FL is seeking a Medication Technician / CMT to administer prescribed medications and assist with treatments, ensuring resident safety and comfort.

The role requires reading and following MARs, documenting daily notes, and maintaining HIPAA standards while delivering compassionate care to residents with diverse needs. You will collaborate with RCD and nursing staff to verify changes and respond to resident requests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions in English.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required by state.
• Must be computer literate.
• Positive attitude toward elderly residents and those with mental illness.
• Criminal background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications as allowed under state guidelines.
• Count and sign approved forms and narcotic logs with authorized personnel.
• Verify MARs and report discrepancies to RCD.
• Remove discontinued meds from cart and hand to RCD.
• Provide personal care to residents (bathing, grooming, eating, etc.).
• Document information in daily log and notify supervisor and RCD as needed.
• Answer calls and assist residents with needs as assigned.
• Adhere to company policies, dress code, and attendance.
