Job summary

The Summit of Lakewood Ranch is seeking a part-time Medication Technician for evening shifts (2:00pm–10:00pm) to join our compassionate care team. You will administer medications, document accurately, and support residents with daily living activities within a warm, family-like environment.

Requirements include state certification for medication aides, English proficiency, and a health-safe background. We offer benefits and a supportive wellness director to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must maintain certification in the state where you work if required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Be in good physical health and able to lift 40 pounds.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal background check.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers or assists with the administration of medications as per physician orders (MAR).
• Documents medications on MAR per policy and checks accuracy at shift end.
• Conducts shift change reports with oncoming staff.
• Maintains medication cart security and narcotic counts.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Works collaboratively with team; maintains professional demeanor.
• Reports any abuse or safety concerns to supervisor.
• On-call rotation for staffing; be reachable 24/7.
