Job summary

The Summit of Winter Garden is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to administer and supervise medications, provide physical and psychosocial care, and help manage the wellness staffing schedule. This full-time role requires strong English communication and physical capability to assist residents daily.

Responsibilities include ensuring MAR accuracy, safe medication practices, and collaboration with the Wellness Director and care team to promote resident dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English.
• Be in good physical health; lift up to 40 pounds.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal background check on hire.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist with medication administration per physician orders.
• Document medications on MAR and ensure accuracy.
• Provide physical and psychosocial care promoting dignity and independence.
• Oversee wellness staffing schedule and participate in on-call rotation.
• Maintain medication cart security and perform narcotic counts.
• Assist in activities of daily living and mobility assistance.
• Report changes in residents' condition to Wellness Director.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards in residents' rooms.
