Job summary

Beaver Dam Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician to work under the supervision of a registered nurse in our skilled nursing facility. You will work closely with residents to provide personal care, assist with meals, bathing, and dressing, while ensuring comfort and safety throughout your shift.

The ideal candidate is patient, empathetic, and able to manage several daily tasks, with a strong dedication to resident care and teamwork within our motivated caregiving

Qualifications

• High school qualification or equivalent.
• Certification as Medication Technician.
• CNA training from an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Compassion for patients.
• Physical strength to lift patients.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients' basic hygiene needs are met, including bathing, shaving and dressing.
• Assist patients with toileting and personal care activities.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Help patients with mobility, including transfers and wheelchair assistance.
• Change bed sheets and maintain patient comfort.
• Monitor patient wellbeing and report changes to the RN.
• Assist with examinations or procedures preparation.
• Keep the patient environment clean and safe.
