Job summary

Prestige Senior Living in Beaverton, Oregon is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician to deliver medication services and direct resident care. You will assist with daily living activities, housekeeping, laundry, and other tasks while maintaining dignity and privacy.

The role requires adherence to physician orders, state regulations, and the nurse practice act, accurate documentation, and coordination with pharmacies. CPR/First Aid and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• One or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred.
• Must hold state required medication pass certification or other required certification.
• CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handlers permit as required.
• High school diploma or GED; additional education is a plus.
• Must complete all state required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Operate the medication room and services as directed by the Health Services Director and physician orders.
• Administer and assist with self-administration of routine and non-routine medications per state regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of medication and treatment services in residents' clinical records.
• Coordinate with pharmacies for medication orders and refills.
• Provide direct resident care while promoting dignity, independence and choice.
• Assist with meals, daily living activities, housekeeping, laundry and other daily chores as needed.
• Report changes in resident condition, incidents and accidents to HSD and physicians.
• Attend trainings, in-services, and staff meetings.
