Job summary

All American Assisted Living at Hillsborough is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer medications under RN delegation and support residents with daily living activities. You will observe residents, document care, and report changes promptly while maintaining accuracy and safety in medication handling.

The role emphasizes medication safety, compassionate resident support, and adherence to New Jersey CMA requirements, CNA/CHHA/PCA eligibility, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current New Jersey CMA certification.
• Must hold active New Jersey CNA/CHHA or PCA certification as CMA eligibility requires.
• Ability to follow RN direction, provider orders, and community policies.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications under the delegation and direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Follow medication labels, MARs, and community procedures.
• Verify resident identity and medication information before administration.
• Document medications administered, withheld, or omitted accurately and promptly.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report promptly to the RN.
• Maintain medication carts, records, and storage areas.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Provide companionship and assist with activities of daily living as needed.
