Job summary

Good Samaritan in Ottumwa, IA is seeking a PRN Nursing services aide to provide care, medication administration, and daily living assistance to residents at the GSS IA Ottumwa Timber Ldg facility in Ottumwa, Iowa.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor and report health status, and ensure safe, clean environments per location standards. This role requires adherence to infection control and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; state requirements may vary.
• If a facility lift is used, must meet minimum state age requirements.
• Must complete and maintain medication administration training per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and services including medication administration and daily living assistance.
• Obtain vital signs and report health status changes.
• Assist with meals, linens, laundry and room cleanliness.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and follow SDS for exposures.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, transferring and walking.
