The Waters of Rockport in Rockport, IN is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to administer medications under nurse supervision, following safety protocols and state regulations. This full-time role requires attention to detail and compassion in caring for residents.

You will document treatments, monitor vital signs, and report changes to the supervising nurse, while ensuring residents’ rights, confidentiality, and dignity are upheld in a supportive, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have current QMA license (unencumbered).

Responsabilités

• Administer oral medications, including scheduled meds.
• Administer PRN medications after nurse authorization and documentation.
• Administer inhalers and nebulizer treatments with nurse assessment.
• Apply topical and rectal medications as directed.
• Administer nasal, eye, and ear medications.
• Perform non-invasive treatments and monitor resident responses.
• Observe residents for adverse drug reactions and report to nurse immediately.
• Monitor vital signs and document changes.
• Calculate dosages and maintain MAR documentation.
• Report to the nurse on duty with pertinent information about medication responses.
• Audit medication administration records for accuracy and timeliness.
