Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, senior living, or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Active Medication Aide certification in good standing with the state.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and company protocols.
• Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and report concerns to the nursing team promptly.
• Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents' health status, behavior, and physical condition; measure and record vital signs as needed.
• Resident Engagement: Build positive relationships with residents through compassionate care and effective communication; encourage participation in wellness programs and activities.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow infection control procedures and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations; ensure medication carts, records, and supplies are organized, secure, and well-maintained; respond to emergencies.
